If, however, you get a lower rate at that hotel in the 24 hour period after making the booking, Capital One Travel will match the lower price. This includes the cost of flights and car rentals.

Earn rewards for travel
Cardholders are eligible to earning 10-miles per $1 making travel reservations with Capital One Travel (depending on which card they are using). Capital One Venture X cardholders receive 10 miles per dollar for rentals and hotels, and 5 miles per $1 for flights. Other Capital One rewards cardholders -comprising those with the Venture, Savor, Quicksilver, Spark Business and Student product suites - receive 5 miles (or cash back of 5%) per dollar when they stay in rental cars and hotels.
After you've earned your valuable rewards, you can either redeem them directly with Capital One Travel for future trips, or move them over to any of more than a dozen airline as well as hotel partnerships. Alternately, Venture X and Venture card holders can opt to "erase" recent travel purchases through the redemption of their miles at one cent for each mile. If I decide to make a payment for my traveler photos trip using Venture X, I could make use of the miles I gained by using Capital One Travel to then pay for the total (or the portion) of my travel-related expenses.
