Propolis
Propolis and items containing propolis cause hypersensitivity in about one in 2000 persons. Are you just starting to use propolis? You can then quickly determine if you are hypersensitive by dabbing a drop of propolis on your wrist or forearm. After that, allow it to dry while keeping an eye on the forearm for up to a day. Does the area where you put the drop have a red halo around it or do you get a burning sensation there? If so, Propolis is probably making you hypersensitive, thus continuing to use it is not advised. Moreover, propolis can improve the results of blood thinners. An allergic reaction to propolis frequently presents as an itchy throat or rash on the skin (when used externally) (internal use).
