It Varies By Manufacturer, But Cement Board Is Much Heavier Than Drywall
Cement Board

Cement Board is a building material comprised of glass fibres and cement that is typically fashioned into 4 by 8 foot sheets that are 1/4 or 1/2 inch thick. It is commonly used as a backdrop for tiled walls and floors, as well as on the outside of structures. Cement board can be stuccoed or simply painted as the final exterior surface when utilised on building exteriors.

While Cement Board is solid and sturdy, and can be cut to size, because it is made of cement, cutting instruments and saws must be carbide-tipped. Also, standard wood drills will not function; instead, metal drills will be required to bore holes. Unlike sheet rock or paper-backed gypsum board, cement board provides a hard, impact-resistant surface when affixed to studs, floors, or exterior walls, strengthening the structure to which it is attached.
