Offshore Wind Energy
The Netherlands can produce Offshore Wind Energy in the North Sea because:
· its waters' relative shallowness;
· its windy weather is favorable;
· the vicinity of major ports and energy consumers (in industry).
Offshore wind energy is now the least expensive large-scale source of renewable energy as costs have decreased dramatically in recent years. The energy shift will need additional sustainable energy sources in addition to wind energy. such as solar energy, biomass energy, and onshore wind energy.
