Take everyone to learn the craftsmanship of washi tape
Many people love beautiful washi tape, but do you know the craftsmanship used in washi tape? Below is a brief introduction to the craftsmanship of washi tape.

washi tape

Matte Printing

This is the most basic form of tape printing, with a matt surface that does not reflect light. The tape has a frosted texture and is very comfortable to touch.

Gold / Silver Stamping

Gold stamping? Is that gold stamped into a design? I'm sure this is a question that will arise for all of you who see these two words. In fact, it is not. Stamping gold or silver is just a generic term for the process. A metal printing plate is heated, foil is applied and gold text or patterns are embossed on the printed material.

Stamping tape is very pretty, as it is gold in colour and reflects light, giving it a boo-boo feel. It also has a unique aesthetic when stuck to a book, making your handbook look more elegant and recognisable.

Laser

When it comes to laser, I'm sure your little head will be filled with big questions: does it glow? It's actually a bit like foil tape, but with more colours.

It also looks great on your handbook (but I don't see many handbooks with laser tape, so if you have a handbook with laser tape, it will look even more special).

Special Oil

The special ink used for the special oil tape gives the printed pattern a rich colour and looks great in the sunlight, while creating a three-dimensional feel to the pattern. Compared to ordinary matte washi tape, the contrast between the colours of the special oil and paper is more intense and gives a more three-dimensional feel. The special oil tape is really shiny and sparkly, and the dreamy pattern makes it a real sniper for teenage girls! There's also this great combination of hot stamping and special oil, which requires no special effort and is very bright with a casual sticker.

White ink

White ink is not a white ink, it is actually a white layer, because some tapes need to be primed, such as some text and character tapes, placed on the top layer, if the tape below is very difficult to see, this time we need to use white ink tape on the top layer. Use some tiny patterns that look great embellished on the handwriting.

Mixing process

Mixing techniques means mixing the above techniques together, for example white ink + special oil, foil + special oil, etc. The more you mix, the more expensive it is, but the more colourful and layered the tape is, the better it will look on the book. Commonly mixed processes are pet glossy + special oil and white ink, hot stamping + white ink + special oil, etc.
