Stethoscope Market
A stethoscope is a medical device used to listen to internal sounds in an animal or human body. It usually has a small disc-shaped resonator against the skin and one or two tubes that connect to two earpieces. A Stethoscopes can be used to listen to heart, lung, and intestine sounds, as well as blood flow in arteries and veins. It is commonly used to measure blood pressure in conjunction with a manual sphygmomanometer.
René Laennec invented the stethoscope in 1816 at the Necker-Enfants Malades Hospital in Paris. It was monaural and made of a wooden tube. Because he was uncomfortable placing his ear directly on a woman's chest, Laennec invented the stethoscope.
