Bioengineered Food

A committee from the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine thoroughly investigated both the advantages and disadvantages of genetically modified crops. Foods derived from bioengineered crops were not any less safe than those derived from non-bioengineered crops, according to the committee's findings. The FDA further states that eating bioengineered food is risk-free and safe for your health. Antibiotics and steroids are not present in bioengineered food at higher levels than in non-bioengineered food versions.

According to the FDA, the crops have not undergone any modifications that would raise the risk of cancer or make them more likely to trigger allergies than non-bioengineered foods. But in terms of the discussion around Bioengineered Food, that is merely the tip of the iceberg. Also, there are concerns regarding how it impacts the farming sector, the soil, and the evolution of weed and insect populations. According to the commission of the National Academies of Sciences, "generalisations about GE crops are challenging since issues associated to them are complex."
