Edge Computing is computation that occurs at or close to the physical location of the user or the data source. Companies gain from the flexibility of hybrid cloud computing while users gain faster, more dependable services because to the closer placement of computing services. A business can use and distribute a shared pool of resources across a lot of different places by using edge computing. A method for extending a consistent environment from the core datacenter to actual places close to users and data is called edge.
An edge strategy expands a cloud environment out to many more places, just as a hybrid cloud strategy enables enterprises to run the same workloads both in their own datacenters and on public cloud infrastructure (such Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud). Many industries, including telecommunications, manufacturing, transportation, utilities, and many more, are currently using edge computing. Edge Computing is used for a variety of purposes that are as varied as the businesses that use it.
