1. The cylinder body is severely corroded (the corrosion area is greater than or equal to 1/3 of the total area of the cylinder body, with pits on the surface).

2. The cylinder body is obviously deformed and the mechanical damage is serious.

3. There are cracks in the head of the device, and there is no pressure relief mechanism.

4. The structure of the cylinder is unreasonable such as flat bottom.

5. Portable type without intermittent spray mechanism.

6. There is no name of the manufacturer and the year and month of the factory. Including the nameplate falling off, or although there is a nameplate, but the name of the manufacturer can no longer be seen, or the year and month of the factory can not be identified.

How to deal with expired fire extinguishers

There are many types of fire extinguishers, and the validity period and maintenance methods of each type of fire extinguisher are different. The repair of the fire extinguisher should be carried out by a special unit in accordance with the requirements set by the manufacturer.

For portable dry powder fire extinguishers, the head, barrel and gas cylinder shall be subjected to hydraulic pressure test every five years or before filling. The refilled gas cylinders should undergo an air-tightness test, and the water pressure test and air-tightness test can be used only after passing the test.

Fire extinguisher valves and accessories

Trolley-type dry powder fire extinguishers dry powder storage tanks and carbon dioxide cylinders need to be tested separately every three years, and can be used only after they are qualified. Air mechanical foam fire extinguishers should be tested for hydraulic strength every time the extinguishing agent is changed or the factory has been out of the factory for three years. It can be used only after passing the test. Carbon dioxide fire extinguishers should be subjected to a hydraulic test every five years or before filling, and can be used only after being qualified. The water pressure test should be carried out before each filling of a clean water fire extinguisher, and can be filled and used only after being qualified. The carbon dioxide cylinder should be weighed every six months. If there is a leak, it should be refilled.

Fire extinguishers are required to be scrapped after they have reached the following years from the date of delivery (the scrapping of fire extinguishers should be carried out by special units in accordance with regulations):

Water-based fire extinguisher-6 years

Dry powder fire extinguisher-10 years

Clean gas fire extinguisher-10 years

Carbon dioxide fire extinguisher and gas cylinder-12 years
