Aspartame Replaces Sucrose, A Common Sweetener
Aspartame

Aspartame has been extensively studied and is considered safe for consumption by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and other regulatory bodies around the world. It has been studied in both animals and humans, and the results of these studies have consistently shown that aspartame is safe for consumption at the levels used in food and drink products.

However, there are some individuals who may be sensitive to Aspartame or have a genetic disorder called phenylketonuria (PKU) that prevents them from metabolizing phenylalanine. These individuals should avoid consuming products containing aspartame or any other source of phenylalanine.
