Modvigil 200 is an analeptic drug, prescribedfor narcolepsy, obstructive sleep apnea, and shift work disorder. It works byaltering neurotransmitters in the brain.
How does Modvigil work:
Modvigilfires up the brain to make you more alert. It helps the brain to raise the rateof breathing.
How Modvigil 200 should be used:
It isavailable as tablets to take by mouth at bedtime. The usual dose is 200-400mgdaily as a single morning dose or in 2 divided doses.
Common side effects of Modvigil :
Sleeplessness,nervousness, aggression, headache, loss of appetite, gastrointestinaldisturbances, palpitations, and rash.
What do I do if I miss a dose?
Take amissed dose as soon as you think about it. If it is close to the time for yournext dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your normal time. Do not take 2doses at the same time or extra doses. Do not change the dose or stop thisdrug. Talk with the doctor.
What precautions should I take when taking Modvigil :
If you havean allergy to Modvigil, Provigil, or any other part of this drug. - Tell your doctorif you are allergic to any drugs. Make sure to tell about the allergy and whatsigns you had. This includes telling about rash; hives; itching; shortness ofbreath; wheezing; cough; swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat; or anyother signs.
When do I need to seek medical help?
If you thinkthere was an overdose, call your local poison control center or ER right away.Signs of a very bad reaction to the drug. These include wheezing; chesttightness; fever; itching; bad cough; blue or gray skin color; seizures; orswelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat. Chest pain or pressure or a fastheartbeat. Trouble breathing. Signs of low mood (depression), thoughts ofkilling yourself, nervousness, emotional ups and downs, thinking that is notnormal, anxiety, or lack of interest in life. Very bad dizziness or passingout. Change in thinking clearly and with logic. Very nervous and excitable.Very bad headache. Dark urine or yellow skin or eyes. Any rash. Side effect orhealth problem is not better or you are feeling worse.
Can I take Modvigil with other medicines:
Sometimesdrugs are not safe when you take them with certain other drugs and food. -Taking them together can cause bad side effects. - Be sure to talk to yourdoctor about all the drugs you take.
