Medical supplies are non-reusable, disposable, or semi-disposable products for medical usage that are appropriate for use in a hospital, clinic, or at home.
Medical Supplies are any drugs, pharmaceuticals, products, substances, items, or devices whose purchase, possession, administration, prescription, or security requires the authorization or order of a licenced health care provider or requires a permit, registration, certification, or other governmental authorization held by a licenced health care provider in accordance with any applicable federal and/or state law.
In accordance with the home care plan, medical supplies, prescription medications, and laboratory services provided by or on behalf of a hospital are also prescribed by the attending healthcare professional.
