The traditional techniques for fluorinating organic compounds often involve starting with a pre-modified substance and utilising pricey and toxic reagents. India Fluorinated Organic Compounds has been acknowledged as a sustainable and scalable method in this area. For the synthesis of specific organofluorine compounds in mild circumstances, electrofluorination has proven to be an ecologically friendly, highly efficient, and adaptable platform. The utilisation of anodic electrochemical methods for vicinal difluorination, iodofluorination, fluoroalkynylation, fluorodecarboxylation, fluoro desulfurization, radiofluorination, and the synthesis of fluorinated heterocycles is discussed in this study. Recent developments in the field of electrochemical fluorination are also reviewed, including split-bipolar electrodes, triethylammonium halides, mixed non-aqueous solvents, alkali-metal fluoride, and electrochemical fluorination mediated by ionic liquids.
