Orthokeratology
The main purpose of Orthokeratology is to treat nearsightedness (myopia). In most cases, eyeglasses, frequent contacts, LASIK, or PRK can also correct this vision issue. With the help of orthokeratology, some people can stop using their glasses and avoid wearing contacts all the time.
Sometimes Orthokeratology is advised to correct children's vision. Some children's vision might continue to alter far into adulthood and their 20s. It is not advised to undergo vision correction procedures like LASIK until vision has stabilised. Although there isn't any concrete data to support it, researchers are looking into the idea that ortho-k can help children's myopia develop more slowly.
