A Tonometry Device Measures How Well Glaucoma Treatment Is Working
Tonometry Device

IOP must be measured using Tonometry Device in order to treat any form of glaucoma. The majority of the time, a physician will use a tonometer as part of a normal clinic visit to check for and track glaucoma patients' elevated IOP. Also, it is applied before and after ophthalmic surgical procedures, in cases of ocular inflammation and infection, and in situations of ocular damage without globe rupture. Preventing or slowing the evolution of glaucomatous morphologic and functional defects is essential in the management of patients who are at risk for the condition or who are receiving treatment for it.

IOP is clinically significant in a variety of clinical contexts, including:

·       All adult patients should be screened for OHT and glaucoma, especially those who have recognised risk factors.

·       Diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma patients and people with OHT.

·       Various ophthalmologic conditions, such as pigment dispersion syndrome, ocular infections, pseudoexfoliation syndrome, eye inflammation, Posner-Schlossman syndrome, use of steroids in cortisone responders, uveitis, surgery, trauma, etc., can result in high levels of IOP depending on how they are diagnosed and treated.
