Low efficiency of CNC EDM

(1)The efficiency of initial EDM is low.In this case,the scaling amount of electrode size should be large,and the condition number of higher current can be selected by automatic programming.The cavity shall be pre milled as far as possible.

(2)The efficiency of the EDM section in the middle of the program is low because there is too much allowance between the conditions of each section,and the machining allowance between each section can be appropriately reduced.

(3)The efficiency of the Fine EDM section at the end of the program is low.As long as the timing machining function is used to effectively control the finishing time(the machining time needs to be set).

(4)The system takes the area as the limiting threshold.Even if the electrode size scaling is large,if the area input is too small,it will not produce large discharge conditions.In such cases,the input area value can be increased artificially.

(5)The application type is not selected correctly.For example,the"micro"application type is selected for the machining of large cavity.

(6)Processing priority:if low loss priority is selected,the efficiency is low,and if high efficiency priority is selected,the speed is fast and the loss is too large.(7)The combination of discharge and tool lifting is unreasonable.Adjust the tool lifting height and discharge time according to the machining state.

(8)Optimize parameters,reduce pulse gap P and increase servo reference comp.

(9)Improve the process and use graphite electrode to greatly improve the overall production efficiency.

Large loss of CNC EDM electrode

(1)If the parameters are used improperly,the processing parameters with low loss priority should be used.Small electrodes can be selected for micromachining applications.(2)Discharge condition number-strong.For sharp and small electrodes,high current machining cannot be used.

(3)The discharge energy is too small and the machining efficiency is low,resulting in the loss of electrode due to long-time discharge.If the electrode loss is large and the machining speed is too slow,please improve the machining efficiency.

(4)The electrode material is not good.Use red copper with high purity,or Luotong or even copper tungsten alloy with lower loss as the electrode material.

(5)If the pulse width is too small,increasing the pulse width t in the condition number can significantly reduce the electrode loss.

(6)Pulse waveform,using low loss,sloping discharge waveform mode.

Deviation of CNC EDM position

(1)Using the traditional method of"electrode touching workpiece for centring",because centring belongs to surface contact,many factors existing between electrode and workpiece will affect the centring accuracy.It is recommended to use the positioning method of"reference ball point to point centring".Fix a reference ball on the workbench as a reference.Before machining,install a reference ball on the spindle head to center the workpiece,and then center the reference ball on the workbench,so as to obtain a distance relationship.Then all electrodes center the reference ball.

(2)The accuracy of electrode and workpiece datum is poor and there are sundries.It is necessary to ensure the accuracy of electrode and workpiece datum and wipe it clean.

(3)Don't feel too fast.

(4)Use the precision clamping and positioning system system 3R.
